Since It Is #ThrowbackThursday And I Had Such A Great Time At The TCFStyle Exp

Hey PHAT Girls!

Since it is #TBT (throwback Thursday), I decided to take a quick trip back to last week when I was in Atlanta for The Curvy Fashionista’s TCFStyle Expo. I was present at the event in two capacities; social media manager and panelist so either way you sliced it, I was working. However, in this case, work was tons of fun because I got to meet some amazing women and hang with some of my favorites.

You know me, “I hoard dope ass women” and I have never said no to the opportunity to mix and mingle with great minds so, the event was great from my perspective. I finally met two blogger boos I have been eager to meet; Reah Norman and Liz Black (insert running man), I have followed both these women closely and I really admire their work. Oh and I got to spend time with some of my favorites like: Nikki Wiggins (NikkiFree Style), Shaina Harrison (Corner Rich/Out Of The Corner), Ty Alexander (Gorgeous In Grey) and Meagan O’Connor (Little Lime Dress) who I officially have a love/hate relationship with. If you and I took a photo together share it under this post so that I can add it to my album.

I love how you’re empowering plus sized women! Your messages are always strong and you really do have great taste in clothing! Thank you for writing so many of these lifestyle posts and showing the world that society’s perspective of the “perfect” body is completely inaccurate and wrong in so many ways!

I’ve always been on the chubby side, and from a young age, I was subjected to society’s view on how a woman’s/girl’s body should be as well as how to be a “proper” young lady. But I myself often ignored the rules of this screwed up place we live in and just went about life in my own way. When I saw your blog and I saw how you wanted to empower women I was ecstatic!

So once again thank you! You’re not only empowering women of the, as society calls it, “plus-size” community but women of all ages, all shapes, and all sizes. Please continue to spread your message at all costs!

Thank you, and have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you so much! I want nothing more than for the world to see my heart and know that I truly want to empower women to love themselves and be their best no matter what.
